So I graduated last night. As far as graduations go it actually wasn’t too bad. It sure beat my Damelin one (held in a done up squash court) and my mom’s UNISA one (civilizations rose and fell in the time we were in the hall). Amongst all the excited students and relief-filled parents I noticed something very interesting, something I’ve noticed before and that continually amazes me, parents are the most politically correct people on earth. I know this is a very tired issue but a difficult one to ignore. I am talking about the Julius Malema,Juju or the recent addition to his names Kidi Amin... his comparison to former Ugandan President Idi Amin, who became known as the "butcher of Uganda" for his brutal rule from 1971- 1979..Poor Malema he was'nt even born then. |

And all that echoed back to me was my pride and joy. So it wasn’t nerves, it was the disbelief that I had successfully reached my graduation day. |
